A jackpot of connections and ideas

H-X Technologies attended SBC Summit 2026 in Lisbon from 29 September to 1 October. The exhibition and conference at FIL and MEO Arena brought us new connections and opportunities in secure agents powered by local AI, cybersecurity education and recruitment. Our biggest win: people and ideas for future projects together.

Star power meets practical AI

One standout moment: basketball legend Michael Jordan shared the Super Stage with Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl and DraftKings CEO Jason Robins. Even the business programme was playing in the big leagues.

AI had a role of its own: SBC introduced Bruna, an AI concierge from InsightPlay.ai, available through voice and WhatsApp. For us, that is a timely prompt to discuss how useful agents can work securely with company data and systems.

Three opportunities for the next round

Secure agents powered by local AI. We see opportunities to collaborate on agents that help teams work with internal knowledge and business processes. Our focus is on local models, carefully scoped access to data and tools, action logging and human approval for critical operations. Security belongs in the architecture from the start — an approach reflected in our AI security work.

Cybersecurity education. New connections open up possibilities for joint courses, guest lectures and practical workshops with H-X Academy. We are interested in turning everyday business challenges into useful skills: secure development, recognising social engineering and using AI responsibly. That is how a team levels up.

Recruitment. Another opportunity is to connect businesses with technical and cybersecurity talent, collaborate with recruitment partners and assess candidates’ practical skills. Strong teams need people who can work together and tackle real problems.
